Experience the beautiful coastal sunshine at Wild Waters, the only family entertainment centre of its kind in Kenya! The park features a full day of fun for the entire family – whether you take a thrilling plunge down the waterslides, or just relax and float around the lazy river… there is something for everyone.

The Waterfront is a world class town centre with innovation in every square inch. Waterfront’s architecture is simply unique; it is designed to capture the imagination of the new age ‘Nairobite’ & to evoke the spirit of ‘Engare Nairobi’ that the Maasai drew upon years ago: ‘place of cool waters’. Our building facade mimics the intricate patterns cast by delicate reeds on the shores of a lake. A fragile lattice which hints at what to expect from the interior: air and natural dappled light.

Unspoiled, beautiful and sun kissed, the Kisite Marine Park was established to protect the scenic islands and special habitats of a wide range of endemic marine animals and breeding migratory birds. It lies in the coral gardens south of Wasini Island and encompasses three small coral rag forest islands, each with considerable areas of fringing reef. Kisite is one of the most rewarding snorkelling locations at the coast. Visitors can also enjoy bird watching, diving and of course, sunbathing.

Built by the Portuguese at the end of the 16th century at the southern edge of the town of Mombasa, over a spur of coral rock, and kept under their control for one century, Fort Jesus, Mombasa, bears testimony to the first successful attempt by Western civilization to rule the Indian ocean trade routes, which, until then had remained under Eastern influence. The design of the fort, with its proportions, its imposing walls and five bastions, reflects the military architectural theory of the Renaissance. Fort Jesus, Mombasa, bears physical witness, in its structures and subsequent transformations, also to the interchange of cultural values and influences between and among peoples of African, Arab, Turkish, Persian and European origin that fought to gain and maintain their control over this strategic port.

Peponi Hotel is a small boutique hotel on the remote island of Lamu, situated in the Indian Ocean off the North Kenyan coast. Run by the Korschen family who happened upon the old building by chance in the 1960’s. The story begins on the families final holiday in Malindi; Aage ‘Lemmy’ and Wera Korschen had been farmers in upcountry Kenya until their land was acquired during independence. As Kenya had become home for them and their three children; Lars, Hanne and Nils, they tried to find a suitable replacement career. However after a few years and not much luck they solemnly come to the conclusion it was time to leave Kenya for Argentina and continue their life there. During these last days Aage decided that, before leaving, he must visit a part of the coast he had always been drawn to; the Lamu Archipelago.
